Our Story
NorthWinds Jacobs sheep farm, owned by Wendi Piller, is the flock formerly known as Crazy Daisy Jacobs which was managed by Chenoa Piller, Wendi's daughter, who bought her first bottle lambs when she was just 12 years old. Chenoa was a true ambassador of the breed, taking her lamb to the MN State Fair and leading it around the Midway as she handed out pamphlets and let fairgoers take selfies with her project animal. She had her own business cards, website and store by the time she was 16 yrs old. She set the bar high.
The bulk of our stock traces to the Craft flock of Bluffton, Iowa. Marianne Craft-Norton was Chenoa's mentor. We also have had notable contributions from Unziker, Newberry, Sweetgrass, Shadow Mountain, and more recently Hillside Farms. Future breeding stock have been acquired from Cove Fields, Patchwork and Spot Hollow Farm and we eagerly anticipate those lines as well.
